Yicui Lake Park is situated in the heart of Ciping, encircled by Ciping’s shaded avenues, creating a tranquil and picturesque setting that serves as a perfect place for relaxation and enjoyment. Spanning more than 120 acres, the park includes attractions such as Yicui Lake, a teahouse, pavilions, and the Pen Garden. At the northern end of the park is also erected the iconic sculpture of China's Outstanding Tourism City — the "Gallop Horse Treading on a Flying Swallow." The park features over 80 acres of water surface, and the renowned calligrapher Lu Yanshao inscribed the phrase “Yicui Reflecting Waves,” from which the lake gets its name. The island in the middle of the lake boasts rugged rocks and fragrant orchids in vibrant bloom. Leaning on the railing for a quiet rest, one can easily be reminded of the poetic imagery described by Tang Dynasty poets: “Leisurely clouds drift over the pool, their shadows drifting slowly with the day.”
