Longshi Scenic Area

Traveling 14 kilometers west from Maoping leads you to Longshi Scenic Area. Longshi (also known as Longshi Town or Longshi City) was the center of the Jinggangshan Revolutionary Base. It is the historic site of the famous meeting of Zhu De and Mao Zedong, the founding of the Fourth Red Army, the Second Party Congress of the Fourth Red Army, and the establishment of the Red Fourth Army Officers' Training Corps. After the two armies joined forces, the revolutionary struggle in Jinggangshan entered its most prosperous period.

Key attractions here include: the Jinggangshan Meeting Memorial Hall, Longjiang Academy, the Jinggangshan Meeting Monument, the former site of the Red Fourth Army Founding Square, the former site of the Ancient City Conference, and the Jinggangshan Revolutionary Base Martyrs' Cemetery.

-- Longshi Scenic Area is located in Longshi Town, southwest of Huangyangjie and 50 kilometers from Ciping. It is the center of the Jinggangshan Revolutionary Base and also the sacred site of the famous meeting between Zhu De and Mao Zedong.

-- This is a small mountain town with beautiful scenery, hidden within dense forests. As you enter the town, you’ll find the Longjiang River flowing from south to north through the entire area.

-- In addition to natural landscapes, the scenic area boasts numerous cultural and historical sites, with notable ones including the Jinggangshan Meeting Memorial Hall, Longjiang Academy, and the Meeting Bridge.

-- Moreover, Longshi is also an industrial base of Jinggangshan. About two kilometers northeast of the urban area lies a ceramics industrial park, home to over twenty ceramics enterprises of various sizes.
