Site of the Former Government of Workers, Peasants, and Soldiers of the Xin-Sui Border Special District

The Site of the Former Government of Workers, Peasants, and Soldiers of the Xin-Sui Border Special District is located in Shangdian Village to the north of Ciping. It is an ordinary earthen-yellow rammed-earth house.

In February 1928, the Government of Workers, Peasants, and Soldiers of the Xin-Sui Border Special District was established here, with individuals such as Li Shangfa and Li Ziqing serving successively as chairpersons. The CCP Xin-Sui Border Special District Committee, also founded at the same time, operated from this building. The district government oversaw more than ten townships, including Ciping, Tuling, Xiazhuang, and Dajing. After the establishment of the special district committee and government, mass organizations such as the district Red Guards, township uprising squads, Young Pioneers, and Women’s Associations were quickly organized. These groups mobilized the public to distribute land, assisted the Red Army in building fortifications, storing and transporting grain, and constructing Red Army hospitals, all of which played a positive role in consolidating and developing the revolutionary base.

In September 1988, the People's Government of Jinggangshan City designated the "Site of the Former Government of Workers, Peasants, and Soldiers of the Xin-Sui Border Special District" as a municipal-level cultural relics protection unit.

Ciping Town: Ciping Subdistrict is situated in the central scenic area of Ciping within the Jinggangshan Scenic Area in Jinggangshan City, Jiangxi Province. The subdistrict covers an area of approximately 3.8 square kilometers and has 6,036 resident households with a total population of 20,098 people (according to data from the Sixth National Population Census, including 14,459 permanent residents). It governs four community neighborhood committees. Administratively, it borders forest farms under the jurisdiction of the Jinggangshan Administration Bureau and the Jinggangshan Nature Reserve Administration Bureau. To the west, it neighbors the Dajing Forest Farm; to the south, it abuts the Zhusha Forest Farm; and to the northeast, it connects with the Ciping Forest Farm.
