Xian Gong Mountain is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction.

Xian Gong Mountain Scenic Area is located in Majia Town, Luojiang District, covering an area of 13.8 square kilometers. It includes Xian Gong Mountain, Yang’en Lake, Kangji Palace, and the Subtropical Flora and Fauna Observation Garden. Xian Gong Mountain, named for its majestic and grand mountain terrain, features twin peaks standing side by side at the cliff summit like a split hair bun, resembling a woman’s hairstyle from afar, hence also known as Shuangji Mountain (Twin Bun Mountain). The cliff inscriptions, poems, plaques left by literati and poets throughout the ages, as well as many magical and beautiful folk legends such as the "Rice-Producing Stone" and "Jiangxi Road," add a layer of mysterious and majestic charm to this sacred mountain paradise. Xian Gong Mountain is hailed as an earthly paradise — "The unparalleled scenic wonder of Fujian, where the Penglai Paradise reveals its nine immortals atop the summit."

In 1997, Xian Gong Mountain was rated among the "Top Ten Scenic Areas in Quanzhou." Over the years, the scenic area management has been dedicated to planning, developing, and constructing the tourism zone. With substantial investment, they have renovated temples and pavilions, built paved mountain roads, installed cable cars, and improved supporting services, making this famous mountain even more picturesque and transforming it into a standout tourist destination in Fujian, attracting nearly 500,000 visitors annually, with over 10,000 visitors on peak days.

During the Northern and Southern Dynasties period (480–520 AD), it became famous for enshrining the "Nine Immortals of the He Clan" and has been praised as "The unparalleled scenic wonder of Fujian, where the Penglai Paradise reveals its nine immortals atop the summit." The mountain features attractions such as the Immortal Bridge, Immortal Well, Immortal Footprints, Immortal Chessboard, Immortal Tea Tree, Immortal Pavilion, Noble Snow Twin Buns, and Lotus Pond Moon Reflection, along with cliff inscriptions left by literati from various dynasties including Zhu Xi and Wang Shipeng of the Song Dynasty, and Zhang Ruitu of the Ming Dynasty.

Take a bus from the new bus station in downtown Quanzhou to Majia, get off in the town area, and then take a vehicle from the parking lot at the foot of Xian Gong Mountain up the mountain. Alternatively, you can take Bus No. 11 from the central passenger transport station in the city center to Majia and follow the same route up the mountain.

Majia Town: Established as Majia Commune in 1971, restructured as a township in 1984, and upgraded to a town in 1992. Located in the northern part of the district, it is 34 kilometers from the city center. Covering an area of 114.5 square kilometers with a population of 51,000, including the She ethnic minority, it is traversed by the Quanzhou–Xianyou Highway. The town administers 23 village committees: Lutian, Wufeng, Qishan, Erjia, Xitou, Yishan, Houban, Xilin, Xibei, Jiunan, Cainei, Pannei, Pengshu, Yangkeng, Meiling, Yong’an, Xingchuan, Majia, Xin’an, Xinsheng, Xinjian, Xinmin, and Qian’an.
