Yang'en Lake

The lake is the main scenic area of the Yang'en Lake Tourist Zone. It is named after the renowned Yang'en series of projects that it encircles. Constructed in 1995, it is an artificial lake formed by building a roller-compacted dam across the Wutan Reservoir, located upstream of the Luoyang River. The lake maintains a perennial water level of 77.2 meters, covers an area of 1,360 mu, and is surrounded by lychee tree belts, with the Wan (An)–Hong (Shan) secondary highway running along its edge.

The area enjoys convenient transportation, well-developed communications, abundant water and electricity resources, and exceptionally beautiful lakeside scenery, making it a great destination for sightseeing and an ideal spot for dragon boat racing. Yang'en Lake spans several thousand mu, with the highest water level reaching 76.2 meters. The lake water is clear and transparent,

and the surrounding environment is picturesque. Facilities such as a yacht dock and fishing platforms have been built, offering integrated recreational activities including sightseeing, leisure, boating, and fishing.
