Locals in Quanzhou can now go drifting close to home!“Quanzhou’s No. 1 Drift”—Hou Shenxi Drift starts from the Hou Shenxi Reservoir in Hexi Town. The stream is crystal-clear and surrounded by green mountains, offering breathtaking scenery that will enchant you.

The entire drift route spans 2.5 kilometers and takes a total of 1 hour and 20 minutes. The experience is divided into “Warrior Drift” and “Leisure Drift.” The “Warrior Drift” takes you down a track with drops of over 40 meters, starting from the highest point, where you’ll twist and turn or plunge straight down until you reach the starting point of the “Leisure Drift”—a wide, calm section of the stream. This section is packed with thrilling excitement and leaves no room to catch your breath.

The “Leisure Drift” also includes several fun features such as spins and turns, keeping the excitement going. Parents traveling with young children can opt for the “Family Drift” to gently float along the stream amidst serene mountain views, gradually enjoying the rural scenery along the way—like flocks of chickens and ducks wagging their “proud rears,” lush green rice paddies, and the daily life of local farming families…

After the drift, if you’re feeling hungry, you can dine here. Most of the ingredients are grown or raised on-site, making the food both eco-friendly and affordable. You can enjoy farm-style cuisine while taking in the scenic views of the reservoir through the window. The site also offers fishing, with catches sold by weight regardless of species—at very reasonable prices. The park also provides activities such as barbecuing and tent rentals. On weekends, you can even stay overnight, stargaze, and enjoy a slow-paced life nourished by the mountains…
