Guifengyan Architectural Complex

The Guifengyan Architectural Complex is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Fujian Province.

The Guifengyan Architectural Complex is located at the southern foot of Guifeng Mountain in Shuangxi Village, Luoxi Town, Luojiang District, Quanzhou City, dating back to the Qing Dynasty to the Republican Era.

Introduction: Originally built during the Kaibao era of the Northern Song Dynasty (968–976), it was expanded in the 22nd year of the Yongle reign in the Ming Dynasty (1424), with the current structures dating from the Qing Dynasty to the Republican Era. It consists of the Mengxin Hall, Confucian Temple, and Martial Temple, arranged from west to north, covering a construction area of over 580 square meters. The Mengxin Hall has three bays in width and two columns in depth, featuring a post-and-lintel beam frame and a double-eave hip-and-gable roof. The Confucian and Martial Temples both consist of a front hall and main hall, with the main halls having three bays in width and two bays in depth, also featuring post-and-lintel beam frames and flush gable roofs.

In 2013, the Guifengyan Architectural Complex was designated as part of the eighth batch of provincial-level cultural heritage sites by the People’s Government of Fujian Province.

Protected area: south to County Road 332, north to the hill behind the houses, and 10 meters beyond the east and west exterior walls.
