The former site of the battle where the Southern Fujian-Yongchun Guerrilla Unit attacked the Nationalist Daluoxi Township Office is a cultural heritage site protected by Quanzhou City and a classic red tourism destination.

The former site of the battle where the Southern Fujian-Yongchun Guerrilla Unit attacked the Nationalist Daluoxi Township Office, also known as the Huang Clan Ancestral Hall, is located at Dongtouqi in Shuangxi Village, Luoxi Town, Luojiang District.

In late June 1949, Lin Xuan, commander of the Southern Fujian-Yongchun Guerrilla Unit, led over 100 guerrillas who split into two groups and advanced directly toward Daluoxi to attack the Nationalist township office housed in the Huang Clan Ancestral Hall at Dongtouqi in Shuangxi Village. Upon hearing the news, then township head Zhang Qi fled with his staff. The guerrilla unit occupied the township office, immediately burned all official documents, household registration records, and grain inventories, and delivered a brief presentation on the current political situation to the local populace.

The Huang Clan Ancestral Hall, the former site of the battle where the Southern Fujian-Yongchun Guerrilla Unit attacked the Nationalist Daluoxi Township Office, was first built in the fifth year of the Zhengtong era of the Ming Dynasty (1440). It features a two-courtyard, five-bay, gable-and-hip roof structure with large red-tiled sloping roofs, upturned eaves, a combination of brick and stone construction, and exterior elements such as coiled-dragon stone pillars, stone drums, and stone lions. It covers a land area of 1,500 square meters, with a built-up area of 600 square meters.

In September 2010, the Huang Clan Ancestral Hall, the former site of the battle where the Southern Fujian-Yongchun Guerrilla Unit attacked the Nationalist Daluoxi Township Office, was designated as one of the cultural heritage sites by the Quanzhou Municipal People’s Government.
