Every winter, migratory birds travel between the north and south, and Kinmen serves as a major stopover point. Kinmen Cihu Lake is the most important site for observing cormorants. The uncommon cormorants (Cormorants)

gather here in flocks. Nearly 200 species of wild birds have been discovered here, with the largest number belonging to the sandpiper family.

The broad and straight Cihu Dyke faces Xiamen on the mainland across the sea. Strolling here at dusk to admire the sea view and sunset, and spending the night listening to the sound of waves and gazing at the starry sky, makes for a truly delightful experience.
