Kinmen Taihu Lake

Taihu Lake is the largest artificial freshwater lake in Kinmen, covering an area of 36 hectares with a water storage capacity of 14 hectares. It serves not only as a source of domestic water supply but also as an irrigation site for local farmers. Two small islands are built in the center of the lake, while pavilions are erected along the shore. Various flowers and trees are planted around the lake, and the surrounding loop road offers breathtaking views of the lake and mountains, resembling a paradise on earth, thus making it the most visited scenic spot among war history tourists.
