Beixi Cultural Park Scenic Area is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

In spring, Beixi bursts into bloom with over 100 acres of nearly 10,000 peach trees in shades of pink, deep red, and pure white. The valleys are filled with the sweet fragrance of peach blossoms, refreshing and intoxicating. Winding wooden boardwalks are carpeted with colorful fallen petals, gently unfolding the romance and leisure of a peach blossom bath. It has now become Fujian’s “No. 1 Peach Blossom Valley.”

Beixi Cultural Park Ecotourism Area is located in Beixi Village, Gushan Town, Yongchun County. It is Quanzhou’s first ecological natural scenic area, a national agricultural tourism demonstration site, and one of Fujian’s most beautiful villages.

Three Grand Waterfalls: Covering an area of 3.4 square kilometers with a built-up area of 20,000 square meters, Beixi Cultural Park Scenic Area features three spectacular waterfalls: Jiudie Spring Waterfall, Shimenxi Waterfall, and Shuangxi Waterfall. Their forms resemble a celestial being unfastening a jade pendant, a white silk ribbon hanging from the sky, or a jade dragon drinking from the stream. The rushing water strikes the rocks with thunderous roars, sending silver cascades into secluded pools and scattering pearls-like spray that shimmers like mist. Each of the three waterfalls is a masterpiece of nature, unique in character and breathtakingly magnificent. Stone paths through the mountains and wooden boardwalks along the slopes wind through enchanting scenery. At the mountain’s mid-level, various pavilions have been built for visitors to admire the views, named Zui Chun Ting (Drunken Spring Pavilion), Yue Se Ting (Pleasant View Pavilion), Yun Cong Ting (Cloud-Following Pavilion), You Xin Ting (Wandering Heart Pavilion), and Wu Dui Ting (Dialogue Pavilion). From these heights, you can gaze into the distance at creeks and bridges, lush peaks and ranges, steep cliffs, verdant vegetation, hanging waterfalls, lotus ponds, interlacing farmland, and picturesque villages.

Natural Oxygen Bar: Beixi boasts abundant ecological resources and a rich variety of tree species, including fir, pine, yellow tung, China ash, Michelia compressa, Schima superba, sweet gum, Castanopsis fissa, osmanthus, camphor, and small-leaf banyan, among over 1,000 species. Over 500 acres are planted with premium fruits such as pomelo, longan, early No. 6 loquat, and pomelo. With a forest coverage rate of 98% and negative ion levels reaching up to 57,300 per cubic centimeter, visiting here is truly like stepping into a natural oxygen bar.

Beixi Academy: The scenic area has successively constructed the Beixi Academy, as well as the Beixi Painting Gallery, Library Pavilion, and Scripture Repository. The Painting Gallery features an exhibition corridor showcasing calligraphy and painting works by the renowned scholar and Peking University professor Xu Han. “The spirit transcends the brush, and the meaning emerges from the void,” his calligraphy is bold and refined, seemingly effortless yet powerful. He excels in painting, particularly in bamboo and rock compositions as well as floral and bird themes.
