Scenic Introduction:

The Waishan Yunhe Valley Scenic Area is situated upstream of the Shuimen Reservoir in Quanzhou, within Waishan Township in the eastern part of Yongchun County. It neighbors the state-owned Biqing Forest Farm and is 25 kilometers from downtown Yongchun. Provincial Highway 306 runs through the area, and the Quanzhou–Sanming Expressway and Shuangyong Expressway exits are just a 20-minute drive from the scenic area.

The scenic area boasts beautiful natural landscapes, including vast forests, undulating mountains, cascading waterfalls, crystal-clear streams, peculiar rocks, exotic flowers, and picturesque terraced fields, all combining to create a stunning and unique natural scenery. The valley features breathtaking views, with numerous waterfalls scattered throughout. Rivers wind through and rush down the entire gorge, with clear waters. The valley lakes offer serene paths surrounded by dense, lush vegetation on both banks. The air here is fresh, earning it the reputation of a natural oxygen bar. The cool and pleasant climate, along with the beautiful layered mountain mists of the valley, makes it a delightful place that refreshes the mind and captivates the heart. It is an ideal destination for leisure vacations and sightseeing.

The surrounding area features simple rural agricultural resources and abundant biodiversity. There is a rich variety of plant species. “Waishan has mountains beyond mountains, and Yunhe has rivers above rivers.” The mountains of Yunhe Valley are all elegant, the waters are all pristine, and the rocks are all uniquely shaped, offering different scenery in each season. In spring, mountain flowers bloom everywhere; in summer, the forests are lush and green; in autumn, red leaves cover the slopes; and in winter, plum blossoms are as white as snow. The area has over 50,000 negative oxygen ions per cubic centimeter, making it an ideal place to connect with nature, return to simplicity, cultivate the spirit, and enjoy leisure and fitness.
