Scenic Introduction:

The Yongchun County Gushan Jinxi Water Conservancy Scenic Area is an open small basin surrounded by mountains on all sides, radiating outward from the Jinxi River at its center. The Jinxi River has gentle currents, clear water, and shimmering ripples. Egrets can be seen flying above the water, ducks swimming, and fish playing in the river. In the distance, layered peaks are shrouded in drifting clouds, while nearby rice fields are lined up with lush flowers and grass, creating a serene and fresh atmosphere. Covered bridges and scenic river dams are partially hidden among lychee trees, making for a delightful landscape.

As the scenic area is located within the ancient town of Gushan, which has a history of a thousand years, it not only boasts beautiful natural scenery but also outstanding cultural attractions. Here, you can find the ancient residential complex of Xiazao with its red bricks, gray tiles, and upturned eaves, as well as charming historical sites such as arcade-style old streets, cultural covered bridges, and stone-built ancient fortresses. In addition, centuries-old traditional customs, handicrafts, local specialties, and delicacies add to the area's enduring appeal. The scenic spots within the area are densely distributed, uniquely arranged, and each has its own distinctive features.

Gushan Town: Gushan Town is located in the southern part of Yongchun County, serving as the southern gateway to Yongchun. It borders Nan'an City, covers an area of 54.3 square kilometers, and is surrounded by peaks on all sides, featuring beautiful mountains and clear waters, making for a pleasant landscape. The town has a total population of 24,000, with 10,600 mu of arable land and 54,000 mu of mountainous land. It is divided into 11 administrative villages and 119 villager groups. In September 1991, Gushan Town was designated as a key industrial satellite town by the provincial government.
