Yongchun Fuxing Hall

Yongchun Fuxing Hall is a National Key Cultural Relics Protection Unit.

Fuxing Hall is located in Tangxi Village, Gushan Town, Yongchun County, and was built in 1943.

Description: Built in 1943 and completed in 1947, it was constructed by the patriotic businessman brothers Li Wuyong and Li Wuzong from the modern era. The building faces northeast and is situated southwest, consisting of a main gate, entrance hall, side wings, main hall, and left and right wing rooms. It has a mixed structure of brick, stone, and wood, covering an area of 1,570 square meters. The entrance hall is five bays wide and three bays deep, while the main hall is five bays wide and five bays deep. Both feature raised-beam and through-tenon style roof trusses and have flush gable roofs.

The outstanding value of the building lies in its architectural decorative art. The facades, doors, windows, beams, and roof ridges are adorned with exquisitely crafted wood carvings, stone carvings, cut porcelain sculptures, plaster reliefs, and painted decorations. The architectural style blends Chinese and Western elements, making it a grand showcase of architectural decorative art and a typical representation of traditional southern Fujian construction techniques during the Republican era.

In 2013, Fuxing Hall was designated as part of the eighth batch of Provincial-Level Cultural Relics Protection Units by the Fujian Provincial People's Government.

Protected area: An additional 10 meters extending outward from all sides of the hall.

Tangxi Village: Located in the western part of Gushan Town, Tangxi Village neighbors three other villages—Pushang Village, Bancun Village, and Maoxia Village. County Road 347 runs through the entire village. The Quanzhou–Sanming Expressway skirts the western foothills of the village. The village has a population of 3,325, with 998 households and 14 villager groups. It is known for producing premium fruits such as Zhuangyuanhong lychees, longans, and mandarins. The land area spans 3,011 mu, including 1,711 mu of forested land, with a forest coverage rate of 56.8%. The arable land area is 868 mu.
