Wuping Cultural Park

Wuping Cultural Park is a national AAA-level tourist attraction.

The Cultural Park is a core component of the planned Hakka Cultural Eco-City in the border region of Fujian, Guangdong, and Jiangxi, and also one of the early completed projects of this larger development initiative.

With a total investment of 30 million yuan, the Wuping Cultural Park is a cultural treasure trove for the Fujian-Guangdong-Jiangxi border area, an external cultural exchange hub for Wuping, a center for cultural and museum exchanges across the region, a base for traditional culture and patriotic education, a gathering and distribution point for cultural and artistic collections in the border area, and also a shared spiritual home for the people of Wuping.

The park covers a total area of 104 mu, with building land occupying 15 mu and a construction area of 6,000 square meters. With a total investment of 36 million yuan, the park features a grand and majestic design inspired by Tang Dynasty architecture, making it highly scenic and worth visiting. It houses five exhibition halls: the Wuping History Museum, the Memorial Hall of General Liu Yalou — China’s first Air Force commander, the Central Soviet Area (Wuping) Memorial Hall, the Cross-Strait Hakka Art Museum, and the Love & Memory Hall (Former Educated Youth Museum). The park contains a wealth of precious cultural relics, photographs, simulated scenes, videos, and utilizes various display methods and technological means to recreate historical settings.

The memorial halls within the Cultural Park emphasize moderate forward-thinking in construction techniques, building materials, and exhibition concepts, incorporating modern elements such as sound, light, and electricity. The five exhibition halls are independently themed yet cohesively integrated, combining historical significance, aesthetic appreciation, and contemporary relevance.
