Junqing Temple

Junqing Temple is a cultural relic protection unit of Fujian Province.

Junqing Temple is located in Lingyan Village, Yanqian Town, Wuping County, Longyan City. It was built in the second year of the Qiande era during the Northern Song Dynasty (964). Covering an area of 640 square meters, the temple complex consists of the Three Treasures Hall, a courtyard, a bell tower, and the Immortal Buddha Tower. The Three Treasures Hall features a double-eaved hip-and-gable roof with a lifted-beam wooden structure, while the Immortal Buddha Tower has a single-eaved hanging roof with a through-tenon wooden structure. The temple preserves a stele inscribed with “Donated by Devotees of Taiwan Prefecture to Build the Buddha Tower,” making it an important Taiwan-related cultural relic in the province. It was designated as a cultural relic protection unit of Fujian Province in 2013.

Lingyan Village: Located at the site of the Yanqian Town government, Lingyan Village is the political, economic, and cultural center of Yanqian. It borders Xiangdong, Shifang, and Zhongchi counties to the east and northwest, and neighbors Jiaoling County of Guangdong to the south. The village enjoys convenient transportation, with National Highway 205 and the Yong’an Expressway passing through. It is home to multiple key projects across provinces, cities, and counties, as well as being an important production base for construction.
