Introduction: Constructed in the 12th year of the Guangxu reign during the Qing Dynasty (1886), it was built by Magistrate Tang Zhixie on the site of the former “Zhangnan Dao Official Residence.” In the early years of the Republic of China, the county council was located here. In June 1930, Mao Zedong led the Fourth Red Army into Wuping and stationed here, guiding the work of the Wuping County Committee and the County Soviet, presiding over symposiums with local cadres, workers, and women, and issuing important documents such as the “Message to the Toiling Masses of Wuping,” the “Declaration of the Party Department of the Fourth Red Army of the Communist Party of China,” and the “Political Work Program for All Levels of the Fourth Red Army.”

Protected Area: An extension of 10 meters outward from the building’s perimeter wall.

In 2009, the Former Site of the Front Committee of the Fourth Red Army – Liangshan Academy was designated as part of the seventh batch of Provincial-Level Cultural Relics Protection Units by the People's Government of Fujian Province.
