Shude Bridge in Chengzhong is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Fujian Province.

Shude Bridge in Chengzhong is located in Chengzhong Village, Zhongshan Town, Wuping County, dating back to the Qing Dynasty.

Description: Built during the Qing Dynasty and renovated several times, the bridge stretches from southeast to northwest, with a total length of 72 meters, a width of 3.56 meters, and covers an area of 256 square meters. It is a five-pier, six-arch (originally six-pier, seven-arch) stone arch bridge, with spans ranging from 6.63 to 19.8 meters, among which the third span reaches 19.8 meters—the largest span among ancient bridges in Wuping County.

Protected area: Extends 20 meters outward from all sides of the bridge.

In 2018, Shude Bridge in Chengzhong was designated as part of the ninth batch of Provincial-Level Cultural Heritage Sites by the People’s Government of Fujian Province.

Chengzhong Village: Located southeast of Zhongshan Town, Chengzhong Village specializes in flue-cured tobacco and ganoderma cultivation. The village has a total population of 2,004 people, comprising 16 villager groups across 5 natural villages. The village covers approximately 7 square kilometers, including 1,229 mu of arable land and 6,880 mu of forested land. The labor force totals 1,230 people. In 2013, the village’s gross output value was 18 million yuan, with per capita rural income at 4,800 yuan and village fiscal revenue at 38,000 yuan.
