1928–1949

Location: Tongbei Village and Qiaotou Village, Heping Township, Yunxiao County

Description: Comprising over ten former sites of the CCP Southern Fujian Committee, including residences, a radio room, the printing office of the Frontline newspaper, finance office, kitchen, guard post, secret communication route, detention facility, armory, and wounded soldiers' station. In 1928, the Red Army and guerrilla forces began operations in Wushan; in 1934, the Wushan Revolutionary Base was established and remained active until the liberation of Yunxiao. This site preserves historical remnants of revolutionary units such as the 3rd and 9th Regiments of the Red Army’s Southern Fujian Unit, the Southern Fujian–Guangdong Border Independent Battalion, the Southern Fujian Anti-Japanese Advance Unit, and the Min–Yue–Gan Border Regional Corps of the People’s Liberation Army.

Protected Area: The entire Gongtouli mountain hollow where the committee's headquarters were located; caves including the secret passage, detention facility, wounded soldiers’ station, and armory — each extending 50 meters outward.

In 2009, the Former Revolutionary Site of Wushan was designated as part of the seventh batch of provincial-level cultural relic protection units by the People’s Government of Fujian Province.

Tongbei Village: Located in the mountainous area of Heping Township, Tongbei Village is a revolutionary base village, currently comprising two natural villages — Tongbei and Kengzaiwei. It has four villager groups, with a total of 226 households and a population of 875. The village has 34 Party members and a current village committee of five cadres. Covering an area of approximately 1.37 square kilometers, it has a forest coverage rate of 90%. The village includes 597.6 mu of arable land and 9,628 mu of mountain land. Its main economic activities are tea and loquat cultivation, as well as labor export.
