If you’re passionate about the thrill of plummeting from hundreds of feet in the air, this news might excite and thrill you—Florida in the United States will construct a roller coaster nearly 159 meters high, which will become the tallest in the world.

According to the British newspaper Daily Mail, this roller coaster, tentatively named “Polercoaster”(tentative translation: Polar Coaster), has not yet begun construction, but its height and its unique riding method and design have already garnered significant attention. The “Polercoaster” takes the form of a circular, tower-like structure, and if it weren’t for the two colorful tracks coiled around its exterior like colored bandages, many might mistake it for a futuristic observation tower or some kind of amusement park spire.

Unlike most roller coasters that start from ground level, slowly climb uphill to the highest point before plummeting down, the Polercoaster flips this concept on its head—the boarding area is located at the top. Passengers must first take a small train up to the tower summit. The tower top not only serves as the entrance to the roller coaster but also houses shops and restaurants—meaning you’ll get a second chance to decide whether to ride. If you ultimately chicken out, you might as well take the scenic elevator up to the observation deck to enjoy the view and double-check whether you have a fear of heights. Meanwhile, those brave enough to challenge the limits of speed will embark on an exhilarating journey featuring high-speed plunges, spins, inversions, and upside-down loops—all at speeds reaching up to 96.5 kilometers per hour.

Although the exact location of the construction has not yet been revealed, and the buyer funding the creation of this roller coaster also plans to rename it in the future, once the Polercoaster is completed in the spring of 2016, its height of nearly 159 meters will surpass New Jersey's Six Flags Great Adventure’s Kingda Ka (approximately 139 meters tall) to become the tallest roller coaster in the world.
