Xilin Wutong Temple is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Fujian Province.

Xilin Wutong Temple is located in Xilin Village, Huotian Town, Yunxiao County, dating back to the Qing Dynasty.

Description: Also known as Guangping Dianwang Temple, after the Tang Dynasty generals who developed Zhangzhou arrived, they enshrined a statue of Zhou Ya in the temple. During the Yuan Dynasty's Zhiyuan era, the "Five Gods of the Directions" – the Five Manifestations Emperor – were added to the worship. The existing structures date to the Qing Dynasty. The temple faces east and covers a construction area of 465 square meters. The front hall is five bays wide and five bays deep with a front porch, featuring post-and-lintel and through-tenon beam frameworks, and a hip-and-gable roof. Ancient and robust stone column shafts and inverted-bowl style column bases are still preserved inside the hall.

In 2013, Xilin Wutong Temple was designated as part of the eighth batch of provincial-level cultural heritage protection units by the People’s Government of Fujian Province.

Protected area: an extension of 30 meters in all directions around the temple.

Xilin Village: Xilin Village is situated in the southwestern part of Huotian Town, Yunxiao County, about 14 kilometers from the town government and 5 kilometers from the county seat. It covers an area of 1.77 square kilometers, has 4 villager groups, 516 households, and a population of 2,298. The main agricultural products include vegetables, longan, and lychee, with an average per capita income of 7,300 yuan. Xilin Village was the site of the Tang Dynasty Chen Yuanguang’s Zhangzhou prefectural office. Existing historic sites include the ruins of the old Zhangzhou Prefecture Office, the General Platform, Wutong Temple, Ciji Palace, Shanglin Sheng Palace, the Zhang Family Ancestral Temple, and a memorial archway for a Ming Dynasty Ministry of Revenue minister.
