The former site of the CPC Minnan Regional Committee Headquarters is located in Gongtouli, Wushan, Tongbei Village, Heping Township, Yunxiao County, Zhangzhou City.

In November 1946, following instructions from the CPC Central Committee, the Minyue Border Provisional Committee was dissolved and the Minyue Border Working Committee was established. At the same time, the Minnan Special Committee was disbanded and the Minnan Regional Committee (abbreviated as the Minnan Regional Committee) was formed, under the Minyue Border Working Committee, with Chen Wenping serving as secretary. In May 1947, the Minnan Regional Committee came under the jurisdiction of the Minyuegan Border Working Committee, and its leadership was adjusted accordingly. Lu Dao was officially transferred back from the Border Working Committee to serve as secretary of the Minnan Regional Committee, while Chen Wenping became deputy secretary. In August 1948, the CPC Minyuegan Border Committee was established, with Wei Jinshui as secretary. The Minnan Regional Committee’s secretary Lu Dao, deputy secretary Chen Wenping, and 13 others became members. By September 19, 1949, the day Zhangzhou was liberated, the Minnan regional party organization had achieved unprecedented growth. The Minnan Regional Committee oversaw the CPC Pinghe County Committee, the CPC Zhao’an County Committee (formerly the Yunhezhao County Committee), the CPC Jinghepu County Working Committee, the CPC Yonghejing County Working Committee, the CPC Nanjing County Working Committee, the CPC Zhangnan Working Committee, the underground CPC organizations in southwestern Fujian, the CPC Annantong County Working Committee, and the CPC Anxi Central County Committee, among others. The people's armed forces expanded to five regiments, two independent battalions, and six work teams including those in Yunhezhao, Yonghejing, Hui’an, and Quanzhou, totaling over 6,000 personnel, making an indelible contribution to the liberation of all of southern Fujian by the advancing People’s Liberation Army. When the Minnan Regional Committee was first established, its base was at Rentoushi in Wushan. In December 1946, it moved to Shuhai in Nanjing, returned to Rentoushi in Wushan in the second half of 1947, then relocated to Guanyin Zuolian, and later to Gongtouli (the current site of Lu Dao’s tomb). In March 1949, it moved back to Shuhai, then to the Shuichao area of Nanjing County in August of the same year, and finally into Zhangzhou City after its liberation. To commemorate the predecessors and inspire future generations, in 1996, the Yunxiao County People’s Government built the Wushan Revolutionary Memorial Hall at the foot of Wushan in Heping Township. It also marked historical sites such as the former residence of Secretary Lu Dao, the radio room, the Qianwei newspaper office, the ordnance department, the wounded station, and the battlefields of the Leigongpi Battle and the Pingkeng Ambush, all of which were places where the Wushan guerrillas lived and fought, for public visitation and reverence. In 2000, the Yunxiao County Committee invested over 100,000 yuan to renovate and organize the memorial hall, establishing the Veterans’ Home and the Wushan Revolutionary History Exhibition Hall.

The Wushan Revolutionary Memorial Hall at the former site of the Minnan Regional Committee Headquarters (including natural stone caves) covers an area of 7,000 square meters, with three exhibition rooms displaying over 1,000 photos and more than 100 artifacts. The main content includes extensive revolutionary historical materials, cultural relics, and photos documenting the arduous struggles of units such as the Red Third Regiment, Red Fifth Regiment, Red Ninth Regiment, Independent Battalion, and Minnan Detachment in Wushan.

The Wushan Revolutionary Memorial Hall at the former site of the Minnan Regional Committee Headquarters was designated as a Yunxiao County Cultural Relics Protection Unit by the Yunxiao County People’s Government in June 1985, listed as a seventh batch Fujian Provincial Cultural Relics Protection Unit by the Fujian Provincial People’s Government in December 2009, recognized as a municipal-level patriotic education base by the CPC Zhangzhou Municipal Committee and Zhangzhou Municipal People’s Government in October 2003, designated as a Fujian Provincial Patriotic Education Base by the CPC Fujian Provincial Committee and Fujian Provincial People’s Government in December 2007, named a Fujian Provincial National Defense Education Base by the Fujian Provincial People’s Government in November 2007, and proclaimed as one of the first batch of Fujian Provincial Party History Education Bases by the Fujian Provincial Party History Research Office in June 2010.
