Introduction: Zhangzhou Dongmen Islet, also known as Tower Islet, is located to the east of Tongling Town on Dongshan Island. The entire island is shaped like the Chinese character “工” (work), covering an area of 80.514 hectares. It is often referred to as a “fairy mountain on the sea” due to its combination of natural scenery and cultural landscapes. It is ranked among China’s four famous islets along with Jiangxin Islet in Wenzhou, Gulangyu in Xiamen, and Orchid Islet in Taiwan.

The hills on Tower Islet meander and twist, presenting a variety of shapes. The southern part features naturally formed caves in diverse forms. The central area has excellent beaches for swimming. The northern part is home to Dongming Temple, along with natural beaches and caves, offering beautiful scenery.

The main attractions on the island include: Wenfeng Pagoda, Wenchang Pavilion, Fisherman Rock, Eagle Beak Rock, Yunshan Stone Chamber, and Dongming Temple.
