Tongbo Jingshan Temple

Tongbo Jingshan Temple is a cultural heritage site protected at the provincial level in Fujian Province.

Tongbo Jingshan Temple is located in Tongbo Village, Kangmei Town, Dongshan County, and dates back to the Qing Dynasty.

Introduction: Also known as Tongbo Mazu Temple. It was built in the 17th year of the Wanli era of the Ming Dynasty (1589) and has been renovated in subsequent dynasties. The temple faces southwest and is oriented from northeast, consisting of a front hall, worship pavilion, courtyard, and main hall, covering an area of 549 square meters. The main hall is three bays wide and four pillars deep, featuring a post-and-lintel beam structure, spindle-shaped golden pillars, and a flush-gable roof.

In 2013, Tongbo Jingshan Temple was designated as part of the eighth batch of provincial-level cultural heritage sites by the People’s Government of Fujian Province.

Protected area: East to Chitu Cave, south to Luozai Tomb, west to Tang Bibian, north to Daozhai Jinchai.

Tongbo Village: Tongbo Village is located in the southeastern part of Kangmei Town, covering a total area of about 1 square kilometer, including 2,000 mu of arable land and 625 mu of forested land. It consists of four natural villages: Chengnei, Houcuo, Dongxiang, and Houzhai, with 18 villager groups, over 800 households, and a population of 3,250. It is an agricultural village engaged in both crop farming and fishery breeding, and is also widely known both at home and abroad as the "Widows’ Village."
