Bozhou Huishan Martyrs' Cemetery is a cultural tourism attraction, a classic red tourism destination, and a patriotic education base.

Introduction

Also known as Huishan Martyrs' Cemetery, it is located atop Huishan Mountain in Caoshi Town, Woyang County. It was built to commemorate over 300 martyrs of the 11th Brigade of the 4th Division of the New Fourth Army who sacrificed their lives during the War of Resistance against Japan in northern Woyang. The cemetery was established in 1945. The entrance features an archway-style gate with the inscription "Eternal Glory to the Fallen Martyrs" written by Mao Zedong, along with plaques inscribed by - and Woyang County on either side. At the center of the cemetery stands a 15-meter-high memorial tower.

The tower is inscribed with 21 large characters: "Memorial Tower for the Martyrs of the 11th Brigade of the 4th Division of the New Fourth Army Who Died in the War of Resistance in Northern Woyang." The base of the tower is a five-pointed-star-shaped cemetery. In front of the tomb are stone tablets engraved with the names of 310 martyrs. The cemetery also houses a biography of Peng Xuefeng, inscriptions, and numerous elegiac couplets. Many pine and phoenix trees have been planted within the grounds. It has now become a patriotic education base.
