The June 1st Battle Revolutionary Martyrs' Monument is a cultural tourism attraction, a classic red tourism site, and a patriotic education base.

Located in Xinxing Town, Woyang County. It was established to commemorate the martyrs of the New Fourth Army’s 6th Guerrilla Detachment who sacrificed their lives fighting the Japanese army during the “June 1st” Battle in 1940. The monument was first built in 1977, stands 4 meters tall, and bears the inscription “June 1st Battle Revolutionary Martyrs' Monument” in 11 Chinese characters, handwritten by Zhang Zhen, former Vice Chairman of the Central Military Commission. The monument is surrounded by walls and planted with pine, cypress, and bamboo. To the north of the monument lies an “Unknown Martyrs’ Tomb.” It has now become a patriotic education base.

Xinxing Town: A town under the jurisdiction of Woyang County. One of the old revolutionary bases. In the early years after the founding of the People’s Republic of China, it was named Xuefeng Township. In 1958, it became Xuefeng Commune, renamed Xinxing Township in 1983, and then merged with the former Xinxing, Dacao, and Dali townships to form Xinxing Town in 1992. Located in the northern part of the county, it is 22 kilometers from the county seat and borders Yongcheng County of Henan Province to the north. It covers an area of 92.5 square kilometers and has a population of 49,000. The Woyang–Yongcheng Highway runs through the town, and the Wuxin River, Lingzi Gully, and Qinglong Gully flow through the area.
