Shuanggong Temple

Shuanggong Temple is a cultural tourism attraction.

Located in Lüwang Town, Mengcheng County, Shuanggong Temple was first built during the Tang Dynasty and renovated in the late Qing Dynasty. It is one of the rare Tang Dynasty temples in Anhui Province. The site still retains a three-bay front hall dedicated to Zhuangzi and a three-bay rear hall dedicated to Jiang Ziya. The temple is constructed of brick and wood, with a total floor area of about 140 square meters. Since Jiang Ziya is also known as Lüwang, the town derives its name from him. In 1998, the Mengcheng County People's Government designated it as a county-level key cultural relics protection unit. At the end of 2001, the county government allocated funds to begin renovations, and the restoration project was completed in early 2002, after which the temple was officially opened to the public.
