Sanhua Mountain is located in Sanshan District, Wuhu City, covering an area of 4 square kilometers. It borders Wuhu urban area and Longwo Lake Tourist Resort to the east, neighbors E’qiao Town’s “No. 1 Tea Market in the South of the Yangtze” and Fushan Ecological Reserve to the south, lies adjacent to Wuhu Green Food Economic Development Zone to the west, and faces the Yangtze River to the north. Sanhua Mountain was once one of the renowned Buddhist sacred sites. As early as during the Zhide era of Emperor Suzong in the Tang Dynasty, before a Silla prince headed to Jiuhua Mountain, he conducted religious rituals here and built temples that were grand in scale, but these were destroyed during the Cultural Revolution.

The area still retains cultural relics such as the Jieguan Pavilion, ancient mining pits from the Warring States Period, Shang and Zhou cultural sites, Ming Dynasty pottery kiln ruins, the Wenchang Palace, and the City God Temple.

Sanhua Mountain boasts a long history and rich cultural tourism resources, along with convenient transportation. Provincial Highway S321, the Yangtze River Expressway, and the golden waterway of the Yangtze River all run through the region, making it an ideal destination for travel and vacation. The Sanhua Temple has been approved for construction by the Anhui Provincial Religious Affairs Bureau.
