The Wuhu Riverside Water Conservancy Scenic Area is a national AAA-level tourist attraction and a national water conservancy scenic area.

The Wuhu Riverside Water Conservancy Scenic Area is located along the Yangtze River in the urban area of Wuhu City, Anhui Province. Built along the Yangtze River flood control wall, it is an urban river-lake type water conservancy scenic area, covering a planned area of 0.36 square kilometers.

The scenic area fully utilizes the majestic and magnificent natural hydrological landscape of the Yangtze River, combining it with artificial landscapes such as musical fountains, artificial waterfalls, and water screen movies, as well as resources related to history, culture, and religion in the surrounding area. The planning, design, and construction of the scenic area have been carried out simultaneously, featuring advanced concepts and a high degree of resource integration. The scenic area enjoys favorable geographical and transportation conditions, has a sound management organization, comprehensive supporting systems, and a high level of management. The development of the scenic area has received strong attention from the Wuhu municipal leadership, with a total investment of 1.3 billion yuan to date. It has formed a planned layout consisting of “one core plaza, two theme parks, one water sightseeing belt, one classic tourist route, and one specialty commercial corridor,” significantly enhancing the city’s image and improving the living environment. It is widely praised by the public as a highly beneficial project.
