The Anhui College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Museum serves as a patriotic education base.

The Anhui College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Museum was established in 2010 and consists of the Chinese Herbal Specimen Hall and the Chinese Medical History Hall. Covering an area of 6,300 square meters with an exhibition space of 4,100 square meters, it integrates teaching, research, and science education.

The Chinese Herbal Specimen Hall is a specialized exhibition hall mainly featuring Chinese herbal specimens. It includes three sections: the specimen display area, the digital museum experience area, and the teaching practice area. The specimen display area mainly showcases commonly used medicinal herbs, authentic (local) medicinal materials, as well as herbs from southern Anhui, traditionally processed herbal slices, counterfeit Chinese medicines, precious Chinese herbs, various dosage forms of proprietary Chinese medicines, and OTC Chinese medicines, providing a comprehensive introduction to Anhui’s authentic (local) medicinal herbs. The digital museum experience area collects data from the museum's exhibits while also incorporating images and textual materials related to historical relics of traditional Chinese medicine and advances in the field, using modern technology to demonstrate the long history and vast richness of Chinese medicine. The teaching practice area is primarily used for teaching, training, and practical exercises such as identifying Chinese herbal slices, traditional authentication of medicinal materials, and making plant herbarium specimens. It also offers public science education activities including recognizing common medicinal plants, creating fun herbal specimens, and crafting artistic bookmarks with herbal themes. The Chinese Medical History Hall is a specialized exhibition hall that focuses on the development and achievements of traditional Chinese medicine. It is divided into three parts: the history of Chinese medicine, the local medical history of Anhui ("Hua Tuo in the North, Xin’an in the South"), and the local medical history of Wuhu. Through Chinese medical anecdotes, it illustrates stories such as "Hua Tuo Alive," "Practicing Medicine to Help Others," and "Prosperous Apricot Grove." Using ancient medical casebooks, profiles of famous doctors, and visual materials, it presents the development trajectory and major accomplishments of Chinese medicine. With historical relics, ancient artifacts, and reconstructed scenes, it highlights the local characteristics of Anhui medicine—"Hua Tuo in the North, Xin’an in the South"—and the regional heritage of the historic Wuhu-based traditional Chinese medicine brand Zhang Hengchun Chinese Pharmacy.

The Anhui College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Museum mainly promotes knowledge of traditional Chinese medicine by organizing visits to its collections, conducting extracurricular activities, hosting thematic lectures and seminars, and more.
