Hongxing Shendun Site

The Hongxing Shendun Site is a cultural heritage protection unit of Anhui Province.

The Hongxing Shendun Site is spiral-shaped, stretching approximately 150 meters from north to south and about 70 meters from east to west, covering a total area of around 10,000 square meters. It features a relatively thick cultural layer with abundant surface deposits, including numerous li tripod leg fragments, sandy clay pottery shards, and stamped-pattern pottery pieces. The top layer has red burnt soil up to 2 meters thick, making it a typical site from the Neolithic Age to the Spring and Autumn Period. About 1,000 meters to the north lies the Yuexingdi Site, and the surrounding area consists of hilly farmland. This site is one of the earliest ancient settlement remains in Wuhu City and holds significant scientific and historical value for the study of indigenous cultures in southern China as well as Wu-Yue culture.

Protected Area: Centered on the site, extending 200 meters east, 200 meters south, 300 meters west to Gaomachang Village, and 350 meters north to Gang Village.

Changba Village: Located at the southernmost end of Sanshan Subdistrict, Changba Village borders Fanchang County to the west, neighbors E’qiao Town to the east and south, and connects to Xinzhuang Village to the north. The village covers an area of 5.89 square kilometers, with over 3,200 mu of arable land, 850 mu of woodland, and 450 mu of water surface. It includes 17 villager groups, with a total of 1,117 households and a population of 3,665. The village Party branch comprises two sub-branches and has 75 Party members. The village committee consists of seven members. Key infrastructure passing through the area includes the San’e Highway, Huadian Avenue, and the Huadian Railway Special Line, providing very convenient transportation.
