Treasured Collections

Blue-and-white vase  Yuan Dynasty. Overall height: 26 cm. It is a pedestal-mounted offering vase, used as a Buddhist ritual object, and is an underglaze painted porcelain piece. It has a straight mouth, slender neck, sloping shoulders, and a slightly tapered belly, with a wide ring foot that flares slightly outward. The base of the vase is in the form of a drum stool, with a diamond-patterned edge on the top surface, the body of the base intricately carved with six-legged floral windows, and the bottom shaped like a lotus-petal ring foot. The body is made of clean, fine white clay, and the blue-and-white glaze is bright and vivid.

Relics from the Miaoqian Spring and Autumn Period Wooden Coffin Tomb  Spring and Autumn Period. The preservation, scale, uniqueness of the burial receptacle, and the richness and exquisiteness of the funerary objects of this wooden coffin tomb are all rare among tombs of the same period. Both the main coffin and the accompanying coffins were hollowed out, planed, and crafted from whole logs. The exterior of the main coffin was constructed with large square timbers using mortise-and-tenon joints to form the wooden coffin chamber. Inside the chamber, bronze artifacts such as tripods and halberds were placed on both sides, along with bamboo, wood, and lacquerware items such as wooden se (a type of musical instrument), wooden handles, and bamboo bows. Among them, the most eye-catching are two gilded bronze tripods, elaborately decorated and considered national treasures.

Stacked Figurine Grain Storage Jar  Overall height: 32 cm. A celadon ware with dense body, topped with a mica-like greenish-yellow glaze. The artifact consists of a five-spouted jar and a stacked figurine section. Around the mid-shoulder of the large jar, four smaller jars are symmetrically arranged in a cross pattern, with 16 stacked figurines in between. These figures vary in form and recreate the joyous scene of laborers celebrating a bountiful harvest over 1,700 years ago.
