Internationally renowned designer Xiao Qingyang, a New Taipei City resident, is not only listed among the “CommonWealth Magazine’s 100 New Lights of Taiwan” but has also been nominated four times for the Grammy Awards in the United States for album design. His recent works, including the livery design for Taiwan Railways’ Puyuma train, the visual design for the Yilan International Children's Folklore and Folkgame Festival, and the Golden Horse Awards visual identity, have garnered widespread acclaim. This marks his first foray into designing marathon finisher medals and commemorative T-shirts. This collaboration will create an interesting parallel with the Hokkaido Marathon in Japan, where the medals are also created by a world-class sculptor from the region—Kan Yasuda. Meanwhile, Xingcai Industrial Co., Ltd., a local international functional fabric manufacturer in New Taipei City, has generously provided commemorative T-shirts made from eco-friendly materials of the same grade used by World Cup football players this year (recycled PET yarn combined with patented S.Café® eco-friendly material). The masterful design paired with world-class functional fabric makes this collaboration between two new lights of Taiwan a truly unique highlight of the event.Masters Xiao Qingyang and Chairman Chen Guoqin will also participate in the race on the day, joining in the joy of running amidst nature.

To establish Wulai District as a Running Holidays destination, the Tourism and Travel Bureau has installed 16 sports mileage signage along Xinfu Road (Provincial Highway 107) and 5 photo-worthy scenic spot signs, such as Xinxian Suspension Bridge, Xinxian Park, 120 Cherry Blossom Lane, Wuchongxi Waterfall, and the Nanshi River Valley. In addition, taking advantage of the area’s rich biodiversity, 16 unique plant and animal species native to Wulai have been specially selected. These include Wulai Shell Ginger, Dabang Kallima inachus, Emerald Tree Frog, Taiwan Barwing, Golden Azalea, Taiwan Cherry Oak, Taiwanese Dragonfly, Wulai Wikstroemia, Taiwan Blue Magpie, Wulai Black-spotted Small Gray Butterfly, Tree Cricket, Taiwanese Longicorn Beetle, Wulai Flower Longhorn Beetle, Crested Goshawk, Brown Tree Frog, and Wulai Azalea. These elements aim to raise public awareness of conservation while also offering participants in sports tourism an ecological journey during their leisure time.
