Huatai Cableway

The Huatai Cableway starts at Fangjiali, the most natural and pristine village in Jiuhua Mountain, and ascends to the Huatai Scenic Area, which boasts stunning natural landscapes. The cableway has a total length of 2,908 meters, with an elevation difference of 824 meters between the upper and lower stations. It operates at a speed of 6 meters per second and has a one-way capacity of 800 passengers per hour, featuring safe, comfortable, and fast rides.

The equipment and technology of the Huatai Cableway are among the best in China or even the world. Located in the Huatai Scenic Area of Jiuhua Mountain, it is the longest of the mountain’s three cableways and also offers the most scenic views along the route. The cableway connects Jiuhua Mountain’s major attractions — Dahuate, Xiaohuatai, Tiantai, Minyuan Scenic Area, and Jiuhua Street — forming a “closed loop,” allowing visitors to quickly reach the Huatai Scenic Area for sightseeing.

The Huatai Scenic Area connects to the Tiantai Scenic Area to the south, links with the Minyuan Scenic Area to the west, and borders the Houshan Scenic Area to the east and Hedong Scenic Area to the north, covering an area of approximately 10 square kilometers. It is surrounded by valleys and ridges.

The scenic area features abrupt peaks, rugged rocks, deep valleys and caves, coiled pine trees, and blooming alpine flowers, all competing in beauty and presenting a scene of breathtaking diversity. “Huatai 0” is one of the new Ten Scenic Spots of Jiuhua. The Huatai Scenic Area showcases typical granite landform features, with magnificently diverse natural landscapes.

The development and opening of the Huatai Scenic Area, along with the launch of the Huatai Cableway, have established Jiuhua Mountain’s third major tourist loop. They offer visitors new tourism products and routes, further enriching Jiuhua Mountain’s travel options. This not only adds more sightseeing content for tourists but also extends their time spent in the scenic area, propelling Jiuhua Mountain’s tourism onto a new historical level and opening a new chapter in its development.
