Little Heavenly Terrace

Located southwest of the flesh-body pagoda, it is a provincial-level key temple. Built in 1919 through donations by Bhikkhuni Miaoliang, it was originally named Mingxin Temple, also known as Mingxin Chanlin. The temple is built along the mountain, layer upon layer; at the front there is a slope supported by a stone platform, hence the name “Little Heavenly Terrace.” Perched high above, the temple offers an expansive view — undulating mountains to the northwest, with misty clouds drifting; Jiumin Highway winds through the mountainside with constant traffic flow. At dusk, when the sunset paints the mountains in brilliant hues and the sky glows with radiant light, it becomes the best spot to enjoy the glow of the setting sun over the green hills.
