Qingyang General’s Dagu Ridge Ancient Trail

The Qingyang General’s Dagu Ridge Ancient Trail is a cultural heritage protection unit of Chizhou City.

The Qingyang General’s Dagu Ridge Ancient Trail is located in Yangshan Group, General Village, Zhubei Town, Qingyang County. Dating back to the Qing Dynasty, it is classified as an ancient heritage site.

On March 4, 2020, the Chizhou Municipal People's Government designated it as part of the fifth batch of municipal-level cultural heritage protection units in Chizhou.

Protected area: the ancient stone slab path and an additional 10 meters extending outward on both sides.

Construction control zone: bounded by the perimeter of the protected area, extending 20 meters outward on both sides.

General Village: General Village in Zhubei Town, Qingyang County, is located 13 kilometers south of the county seat. The Zhuling Highway runs north-south through the area, with the highest elevation reaching 1,220 meters. It is one of the main sources of the Qingtong River, the mother river of Qingyang. General Village boasts a long history and culture. Its name “General” originates from the Ming Dynasty, when General Chang Yuchun stationed troops and built camps here. The area features rich scenic spots, including Huatai, Tuanji Fort, Bodhisattva Ridge, Pig-Slaughtering Platform, and Big Drum Ridge. It takes about two hours of hiking to reach the summit of Tiantai at Jiuhua Mountain.
