The Sanxi Scenic Area is located in Sanxi Village, Lingnan Township, Xiuning County, Huangshan City, about 50 kilometers from Xiuning County town and 48 kilometers from downtown Huangshan. The area features dozens of small streams originating from the mountaintops, which converge into one major stream. Flowing from east to west along the valley terrain, the stream winds its way down into the village, where it meets the murmuring flows of Han Chong Stream and Lotus Stream at the water outlet.

The scenic area is covered with lush mountains and boasts a forest coverage rate of 95%. It features deep pools, long streams, beautiful waterfalls, spiritual springs, and uniquely shaped peaks and rocks. It is particularly renowned for its "abundance of waterfalls and serene pools." Attractions such as Bajie Pool, Osmanthus Pool, Five-Color Pool, Fu Shou Pool, and Yao Pond... Some offer mirror-like reflections with clear images beneath the surface; others have crystal-clear waters with gentle flows. Some are unfathomably deep and ever-changing; some have crystal-clear, cool and refreshing water; while others are pure, tranquil, and spotless. Above these serene pools hang majestic waterfalls such as Mother-Son Waterfall, Autumn Awareness Waterfall, Jade Belt Waterfall, Heavenly Gate Waterfall, Funnel Waterfall, and Colorful Stone Waterfall... Each cascades down with radiant splashes of water. Together, the waterfalls, pools, streams, valleys, and vegetation naturally form an exceptional aquatic ecological landscape.

Lingnan Township: Located at the southernmost part of Anhui Province, Lingnan Township borders the two eco-tourism counties of Kaihua in Zhejiang and Wuyuan in Jiangxi. It is 80 kilometers from the Huangshan Scenic Area and only 15 kilometers from Jiangwan, the hometown of a great leader. Provincial Highway 220 (Xiuning-Wuyuan Section) and the under-construction “Huang-Ta-Tao” Expressway run through the entire township. It also serves as the only fast tourism route connecting the Great Leader Hometown Tourism Area and the Huangshan Scenic Area. The township holds a distinct advantage as part of the “Ecological Golden Triangle.” It governs 5 administrative villages with a population of 3,600. The locals are known for their simple and honest folkways and strong awareness of natural resource conservation.
