In late autumn, fine drizzle lingers in the airAt approximately 6:45 AM on the morning of October 14, the opening ceremony of the competition was officially launched. Attending the event were Song Weihong, head of the Discipline Inspection Group of the Hunan Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection stationed at the Provincial Sports Bureau and member of the Party Leadership Group of the Provincial Sports Bureau; Gong Tiejun, director of the Office of the Hunan Provincial Tourism Development Commission; Huang Jianming, secretary of the Hunan Provincial Social Sports Guidance Service Center; Qin Lijun, vice chairperson of the Shaoyang Municipal People's Congress Standing Committee and secretary of the CPC Xin Ning County Committee; Luo Kaiming, deputy director of the Shaoyang Municipal Bureau of Culture, Sports, Radio, Television, News, and Publication; Liu Jinxiong, deputy director of the Shaoyang Municipal Bureau of Tourism, Foreign Affairs, Hong Kong, Macau, and Overseas Chinese Affairs; Tan Jingyi, deputy secretary of the CPC Xin Ning County Committee and head of the Xin Ning County People’s Government; She Zhiyun, deputy secretary of the CPC Xin Ning County Committee; Jiang Xinxiong, chairperson of the Xin Ning County CPPCC; Lin Qinghua, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Xin Ning County Committee and director of the County Party Committee Office; and Peng Hongbing, vice head of the Xin Ning County People’s Government.At around 7 p.m., the competition officially kicked off, with over 1,000 cross-country enthusiasts starting the run from North Gate.
