Xinanyuan organic silver tip is a type of green tea in needle form, primarily produced in the Liukou Mountain area of Xiuning County at the source of the Xinanyuan River, at the foot of Huangshan Mountain — the origin of Tunlu, one of China’s top ten famous green teas in the “Golden Triangle” of green tea. Surrounded by mountains, the area boasts beautiful scenery, year-round misty fog, and an exceptionally pristine ecological environment, often referred to as a green paradise. It is especially suitable for tea tree growth and nurtures superior intrinsic qualities. With the use of exquisite and innovative processing techniques, only one bud and one leaf are picked. The tender leaves undergo fixation, straightening, shaping, final forming, initial drying, sieving, and scent-enhancing re-drying to become the finished product. Its quality features include resembling silver needles, being green as jade, with visible white pekoe, emerald green and clear liquor, a mellow and refreshing taste, a subtle yet rich floral aroma, a sweet aftertaste, lingering fragrance on the lips and teeth, and a calming effect. It is the finest among Xinanyuan organic teas and is mainly sold domestically and partially exported.
