Xiuning Shide Hall

Xiuning Shide Hall is a cultural relic protection unit of Anhui Province.

Xiuning Shide Hall is located in Huiyuan Village, Wangcun Town, Xiuning County, Huangshan City, and dates back to the Qing Dynasty.

"Shide Hall" was first built during the Qing Dynasty, covering a total area of 430 square meters, with a construction area of 300 square meters. The ancestral hall features towering pillars, exquisite wood, stone, and brick carvings, and hanging plaques. Outside, the drum-shaped stones and solemn flagpole bases are all imbued with the weight of time. There are more than twenty existing wood carvings distributed across various components such as beams, brackets, rafter supports, dougong (bracket sets), and arches. The carvings mostly depict motifs such as dragons and phoenixes symbolizing good fortune, historical dramas, landscapes, and flowers and birds. The patterns are vivid and lifelike, holding significant historical, artistic, and scientific value. They serve as precious examples for the study of ancient Chinese architectural history and architecture.

In 2019, Xiuning Shide Hall was designated as part of the eighth batch of provincial-level cultural relic protection units by the People's Government of Anhui Province.

Huiyuan Village: Huiyuan Village in Wangcun Town is located on the western edge of Xiuning, bordering Liu0, characterized by high mountains and dense forests. The village administers seven villager groups, with a total of 372 households and 1,344 residents. It currently has a land area of 21,071.9 mu, including 20,299 mu of forested land, 1,542 mu of tea plantations, and 230.9 mu of paddy fields.

In recent years, with the care and support of the Party and the government, the villagers have worked hard to actively develop the rural economy. They established the Huiyuan Village Kengkou Tea Primary Processing Factory, which produces over 80,000 jin of dried tea annually, effectively increasing villagers' income.
