Sun Qimeng, born in 1911, went to school in Suzhou with his family in 1918 and spent his childhood in Shangshan, Shexian. He once served as the Chairman of the China Democratic National Construction Association and Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress. The Xiaodi and Others’ Residence (Former Residence of Sun Qimeng) is a building from the late Qing Dynasty. After 1918, it was transferred to Wang Jing’an, who opened a private school called “Nanxian Yixue.” The entire structure covers an area of 419.4 square meters, with a built-up area of 838.8 square meters, featuring the typical Huizhou architectural style of the Qing Dynasty.
