Gongbei Bridge in Xiuning

Gongbei Bridge is a cultural relic protection unit of Anhui Province.

Gongbei Bridge is located in Lingxia Village, Beishitang Township, Xiuning County, Anhui Province, about 10 kilometers from the county town.

It has four piers and five spans, and is a quaint "covered corridor bridge." The bridge is equipped with a long covered corridor that offers shade and rain protection, and the inner sides of the corridor are lined with backrest benches for pedestrians to rest. The bridge is 70.7 meters long, 5 meters wide, and 7.6 meters high. It was later destroyed by a mountain flood and was reconstructed using wooden materials for the bridge surface. In 1980, one pier on the north side of the bridge was washed away, and the county government allocated 9,000 yuan for its restoration.

Protected area: 2 meters beyond the bridge foundation on the east, south, west, and north sides.
