Shangshan Huangcun Primary School is located in Shangshan Town, Xiuning County, dating back to the Qing Dynasty.

Huangcun Primary School is located within Huangcun Village and was initiated in 1910 by Huang Di, a descendant of the Zhongxian Mansion. The school was originally a private school, featuring unique architecture in the style of the Republican era. Notable inscriptions that remain include one by the famous educator Huang Yanpei, who personally visited and wrote, “I know your learning advances as you progress; I hope I may revisit southern Anhui,” as well as one by then Minister of Education Zhu Hua, which reads “Peaches and Plums Compete in Glory.”
