Xiuning Landu Bridge

Xiuning Landu Bridge is a cultural relic protection unit of Huangshan City.

Xiuning Landu Bridge is located in Qiyunshan Town, Xiuning County, and dates back to the Qing Dynasty.

Landu Village is situated west of Xiuning County and serves as the eastern gateway to Qiyun Mountain, one of China's four major Taoist sacred mountains. The village has a long history, with an ancient saying that “Qiyun Mountain begins at Landu in the east.” The stone-paved ancient post road still remains today. A commercial hub had already formed here before the Tang Dynasty. The ancient Landu stone bridge, built in the 10th year of the Hongzhi reign of the Ming Dynasty (1496), is also a scenic highlight of the area.

The ancient Lanchuan Bridge, also known as the Biejia Bridge or Landu Bridge, was constructed in the 10th year of the Hongzhi reign of the Ming Dynasty (1496) by then-county magistrate Li Ye. The bridge once featured pavilions and temples on it, making for a magnificent sight. During both the Ming and Qing dynasties, it underwent multiple renovations. In the 53rd year of the Qianlong reign (1788), the bridge was washed away by a flood, and both the pavilion and temple were destroyed. A local resident, Wang Cheng, donated several thousand taels of silver for its reconstruction. The bridge is 88 meters long and 6.6 meters wide, with six piers and seven arches. Originally, there were steps at both ends of the bridge, but these were removed in 1957, the area was filled with earth to form a slope, and the structure was converted into a highway bridge.

Both the Anhui–Jiangxi Railway and Provincial Highway Cizhang run east–west through the town. The town also has Yanqian Railway Station within its jurisdiction, offering highly convenient transportation.
