The former residence of Zhang Zhenying is located in Hexiang Township, Xiuning County, dating back to the Republican era. It is a typical example of a traditional Huizhou-style residence from the Qing Dynasty.

Hexiang Township: A township under the jurisdiction of Xiuning County. Established as Hediyi Township in 1952, renamed Hexiang Commune in 1958, and reverted to a township in 1983. In 1992, it was merged into Liukou Town, but was re-established as Hexiang Township in 1994 after being split from Liukou Town. Located in the southwestern part of the county, it is 46.7 kilometers from the county seat. Covering an area of 130.8 square kilometers with a population of 8,000, it is traversed by the Yuting–Fengcun Highway. The township administers nine village committees: Yutang, Didian, Meixi, Zhangtian, Tianshe, Fengcun, Simen, Zuolong, and Youlong.
