Dongguan Fort

Dongguan Fort, also known as Wanjian Fort, is located in Shaojiwa at the eastern end of Zoumagang, about 4 kilometers east of the main peak. It features a stone wall nearly 20 meters long with a gate in the middle, a gun emplacement inside, and two stone mortars used for processing rice. About 70 meters uphill lies a troop-concealing valley, behind which there is a spring. The terrain of Dongguan is steep and rugged, with Zoumagang rising sharply from east to west and sheer cliffs on the northern and southern slopes. A small path connects it to Xiguan, and during the late Song Dynasty, Liu Yuan used the fort to resist the Yuan forces.
