Located in the northern part of Guanzhuang Town, Qianshan County, Jinzishan Mountain is a provincial-level forest park, named after the ancient Jinzishi family. With an elevation of 1,539 meters, Jinzishan is the highest peak in both Guanzhuang Town and Qianshan County. Jinzishan Forest Park borders the Ku Jingyuan Nature Reserve in Yuexi County and the Wanfo Mountain Forest Park in Shucheng County. The park is based on the state-owned Tuoling Forest Farm of Qianshan County, and is divided into three scenic areas—Xiangshan, Shuangfeng, and Pingyang River—as well as a recuperation and vacation area, a production and operation area, and a management service area, covering a total area of 40.73 square kilometers.

There is a local legend that Jinzishan and Tianzhushan once competed in height and growth, and in one night, both mountains seemed to pierce the sky. The local earth god reported this to the Jade Emperor, who then ordered the Thunder God and Lightning Goddess to descend and punish them. A flash of lightning and a clap of thunder split Tianzhushan in half, leaving behind the “One-Line Sky” landscape next to its main peak to this day. Jinzishan was cut in half by a sword strike, and now the western side of its main peak is sheer and steep, like a wall rising thousands of feet. The summit of Jinzishan rises abruptly, towering and precipitous, giving the entire mountain an imposing and majestic presence. Within the mountain are 12 scenic spots such as Shuanghongyan, Jinjimen, and Shifengguan, along with over 20 inscriptions left by ancient literati. Among these, the stone gate and window of the Fairy Cave are spacious and airy, with cool walls all around, forming a natural stone chamber. Legend has it that an ancient beauty became immortal here. A poem by a former visitor reads: “Who in the mortal world knows the realm of Penglai? Only upon arriving here do you realize you are in the midst of immortals.”

Jinzishan features overlapping peaks and vast, rugged mountains. Its main peak, Zhutoujian, stands at an elevation of 1,539 meters, making it the highest peak in Qianshan and rising boldly and precipitously. There are 12 major scenic spots, namely Yixian Gang, Shuanghongyan, Qiloubing, Tiangudun, Jinjimen, Fengguanshi, Yanshouguan, Dushanqiao, Moshi Shi, Shaoyue Tan, and Xiannu Ya. There are also naturally formed sights such as Jinzishan’s First Snow, Climbing the Peak to Worship Buddha, Two Turtles Chasing the Sun, Two Immortals Worshipping Buddha, Divine Dragon Stone, Lion King Stone, Sea Lion Stone, Laojun Seat, as well as vegetation-related sites like Songtao Ling, Shishu Yuan, Lishu Po, and Die Lian Baxian. The main scenic area, Xiangshan, includes Baihe Dong, Shizi Yan, Bailong Jing, and Wanghe Gou. Here, dense forests surround the area, with three peaks standing side by side and a central pillar reaching straight into the clouds. At the summit stands a stone incense burner several feet high. After rain, climbing to the top offers a view of the Yangtze River sunrise, sunset reflections, drifting sea of clouds, and a purple haze. The park's vegetation consists mainly of evergreen broad-leaved mixed forests, with a rich variety of original plant species. The area around the main peak features secondary deciduous broad-leaved forests such as maoli, huaxiang, baili, fengxiang, shanhuai, and huzhizi, as well as artificially planted Huangshan pines, Chinese firs, and small amounts of Masson pines, bamboo, tea, eucommia, and chestnuts.

Jinzishan Forest Park boasts excellent forest ecological conditions, abundant forest tourism resources, and beautiful seasonal scenery. In spring, it becomes a sea of flowers; in summer, a carpet of green; in autumn, the forests are painted in layers of color; and in winter, it is draped in silvery white. The naturally formed mountain and forest scenery showcases the colors and charm of nature, while the fresh air, sweet springs, and pleasant climate make it an ideal destination for leisure, vacation, summer retreats, and convalescence.

Guanzhuang Town: Situated in the northeast corner of Qianshan County, Guanzhuang Town lies at the junction of Tongcheng, Yuexi, Qianshan, and Shucheng counties. It borders Hefei to the north, Chaohu to the east, Anqing to the south, and Wuhan to the west. It is 80 kilometers from Anqing Airport and the Anqing passenger and freight terminal, and only 60 kilometers from the Shanghai-Chengdu Expressway and the Beijing-Kowloon Railway. The town covers a total area of 187 square kilometers, with jurisdiction over 20 administrative villages, 355 villager groups, 8,535 households, and a population of over 32,800. It has road access to Shucheng and Tongcheng, and all villages are connected internally, with main roads paved in asphalt. Transportation is relatively convenient.
