Tomb of Qiao Gong

The Tomb of Qiao Gong is a cultural tourism attraction.

The Tomb of Qiao Gong is located in Xiawan Group, Guta Village, Meicheng Town. The tomb site covers an area of 400 square meters, faces southwest and is situated northeast, currently without any mound or gravestone. The site is surrounded by mountains on three sides and faces the Qianshui River directly. Originally, there was a sacred path in front of the tomb, featuring several pairs of mythical beasts and stone statues of officials, but now only one stone horse, one stone figurine, and one stele pillar remain, all housed in the courtyard of the county museum. In 1958, a water channel was dug by local residents to combat drought, resulting in the destruction of the sacred path. According to the "Annals of Qianshan County", this tomb is the burial site of Qiao Xuan, Grand Commandant of the Eastern Han Dynasty.

Meicheng Town: Located in the central-southern part of Qianshan County, Anhui Province, Meicheng Town lies southeast of the Tianzhu Mountain National Scenic Area and in the middle reaches of the Wanhe River system. It serves as the seat of Qianshan County government. To the east, it borders the Wanhe River, with Yu Jing Town lying across the river; it adjoins Huaining County to the southeast, Wanghe Town and Huangpu Town to the southwest, Doumu Township to the west (with the Qianshui River as the boundary), and connects to the mountainous areas of Tianzhushan Town and Longtan Township to the north. The town covers a total area of 134.4 square kilometers, with a population of 100,189, primarily Han Chinese, along with a small number of Hui people. It is 176 kilometers from the provincial capital Hefei and 48 kilometers from the city of Anqing.
