Zhangmiao Site

The Zhangmiao Site is a cultural tourism attraction.

The Zhangmiao Site is located within the Zhanghe Village Group in Huangpu Town, approximately 3 kilometers southeast of the Zhanghe Village Committee. To the east lies a village-level road. The overall terrain slopes from northwest to southeast, forming an oval-shaped platform with a relative height of 10 meters and a cultural layer accumulation about 1.5 meters thick. During the second cultural relics survey in 1984, a large number of cultural relic specimens were collected from the surface. These included pointed-cone, ring-foot, and cylindrical tripod leg fragments, as well as pottery belly pieces with basket-weave patterns.

The discovery of the Zhangmiao Site indicates that Central Plains culture during the Zhou Dynasty had a profound influence on Anhui. This facilitated cultural exchange and mutual enrichment between the Central Plains culture and the indigenous cultures of ancient Anhui.
