The Hu Clan Ancestral Hall in Qianshan is a cultural relic protection unit of Anhui Province.

The Hu Clan Ancestral Hall, located in Hongxing Group, Sanhe Village, Yuantan Town, is a heritage site of the "Taozhengtang" branch. Originally built in the mid-Qing Dynasty and expanded later, it features a three-courtyard layout with a total width of approximately 32.3 meters, a depth of 9.9 meters, and a floor area of about 320 square meters. Three halls remain today. The building faces east and sits west, with a wooden fence gate constructed in front of the main entrance, a five-beam through-tenon structure, and side corridors that have been destroyed. Other components are in relatively poor condition.

In the first courtyard, a flush-gable "inverted mountain seat" style screen wall is built, with the auspicious characters "居仁由义" (Live by benevolence and act by righteousness) carved in relief from right to left above the lintel. The second courtyard’s screen wall features the relief carving "霞蔚云蒸" (Glorious clouds and radiant vapors). The walls are painted with ink motifs of "life generation." The middle courtyard has a rolled shed in the front corridor, with colored paintings adorning the beams and architraves. The golden pillars feature raised carvings of "inverted lion" bracket arms, and the inner eaves decorations are quite distinctive.

Sanhe Village: Introduction to Sanhe Village

Sanhe Village was formed in May 2005 through the merger of the former Sanhe and Shuangfeng villages. It is located in the northern part of Yuantan Town, upstream of the Hongqi Reservoir. Sanhe Village boasts beautiful mountains and clear waters, simple folkways, and abundant produce. It governs 27 villager groups, with a total of 565 households and a population of over 2,300.

Sanhe Village is a typical mountainous village. The village covers a total area of 14 square kilometers, including 790 acres of arable land and 16,800 acres of mountainous land.
